Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will I qualify for Private Health Insurance?
If you're in good general health, you could be an ideal candidate for our plans. While we assess each individual's situation, generally speaking, those without major pre-existing conditions like cancer, heart disease, stroke, or diabetes may find that a private plan suits them perfectly.
  • What are the differences between ACA/ Employer Coverage, and Private Health Insurance?
The Affordable Care Act (ACA), commonly known as Obamacare, is ideal for individuals with pre-existing conditions or those in need of maternity benefits. It's budget-friendly for those below a certain income level, qualifying them for government subsidies. Without subsidies, however, the costs can be steep, with plans typically featuring higher premiums and deductibles due to their universal accessibility. Employer-sponsored plans often benefit the employee significantly, as employers are required to cover at least 50% of the employee's monthly premium. However, the coverage becomes less economical when it extends to family members, who often face full rates for inclusion, making family coverage substantially more expensive. Conversely, private insurance is contingent upon medical underwriting, which assesses eligibility based on health status. Belonging to a pool of lower-risk individuals translates to more favorable premiums and rates. These plans are not only more cost-effective but also frequently offer superior coverage compared to other options.
  • Is private health insurance only available during the "open enrollment" period?
This restriction is specific to Marketplace/ACA/Obamacare and employer-sponsored plans. Private plans, however, offer flexibility with year-round enrollment! You're free to sign up or alter your private plan at any time, without any constraints on enrollment periods.
  • Will Private Plans cover me anywhere I go?
Absolutely! Enjoy comprehensive coverage across the nation, whether you're at work or on personal time. Our private plans are part of extensive PPO networks, offering you the freedom to receive care beyond your local county or state lines. With us, you're protected wherever your travels take you!
  • Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, with the exception of employer-sponsored coverage, there are no binding contracts for health insurance plans. You have the freedom to cancel your public or private health insurance plan at any time as per your needs.
